Can I have a campfire on my site?

Yes. You can have a campfire on site as long as we are not under fire restrictions. Your firepit must be approved by management before use. Any firepits must be raised off the ground at least 2ft, and be fully enclosed. Our preferred style is the Ozpig or Kings pot belly style.

Can I hire a fire pit?

Yes. We hire out firepits on a nightly rate, which includes the supply of firewood (which is cut to size ready for use).

What time is check-in and check-out?

Check-In for Sites is from 1pm (not before). Check-In for Cabins is from 2pm (not before). Check-out is no later than 10am (we do not offer late check-outs).

Can I check-in after hours?

Yes. But must have a pre-paid booking & pre-organised with reception.

Can my friends drive through to my site if they are visiting me?

No. All visitors to Southern Stars must park their vehicle in the car park. Only guest vehicles are allowed beyond the entry gates.

Do you have a dump point?

Yes. We do have a dump point for chemical toilet cartridges.

Are there washing machines? And if so how much do they cost?

Yes. We have a fully equipped laundry with washers and dryers. All cycles are $6. Machines accept $1 & $2 coins. Tap & Pay is also available on all machines.

Can I drink the water at Southern Stars?

Yes. The water at Southern Stars is potable and drinkable.

Do you have Wi-Fi?

No, but there is 4G & 5G coverage.

Do you have a swimming pool?

No. We don't have a swimming pool.

When is your kiosk open? And what does it sell?

The kiosk is open in the mornings from 7am to 10am. They sell coffee, milkshakes, and a variety of snacks.

How far is it to the beach?

The beautiful calm shores of Geographe Bay are located 2.5km down Chain Avenue.

Can we bring our pets to Southern Stars?

Yes, your pets are welcome on our caravan and camping sites. There is a maximum limit of 2 pets per site. However they are not permitted in the cabins.

Are you near a dog beach?

Yes. The dog beach is located just 2.5km straight down Chain Avenue.

Is my dog allowed on a standard caravan site, or do I have to book a fenced site?

Dogs may stay on all sites, though fenced locations allow pets to roam unleashed. Standard sites require dogs remain on leash at all times.

Is there somewhere my dog can run around off lead?

Yes. We have a 1 acre fenced exercise area on the back oval near the footy goal posts where your dog can run off lead.

Can I leave my dog in my caravan while I go out for lunch?

No. Your dog must not be left unattended. If you leave Southern Stars, your dog must go with you.

Can I put ground mats on my site?

Because our sites are all grassed, we do not permit anyone to use flooring/matting of any sort (even mats that claim they do not damage the grass). If you have a tent or camper trailer with a soft floor, this is allowed, but no flooring outside of this canvas footprint.
